Mr. ADJA Akre Maurice, a native of Côte d’Ivoire, was born in Abidjan. He completed his university studies at the University Félix Houphouët Boigny (UFHB) in the field of natural sciences, medical entomology, molecular biology, and public health. In 2008, he obtained his PhD in medical entomology with the Highest Honorable Mention and congratulations of the jury members under the theme "Role of Anopheles funestus Giles 1900 and Anopheles nili Theobald 1904 in the transmission of malaria in savannah and forest areas and the genetic structure of their populations in Ivory Coast.” Since 2015, he has been a CAMES lecturer at the Laboratory of Biology and Health of the UFR BIOSCIENCES of the said university. 

Currently, he is a lecturer at the University Félix Houphouët Boigny, where he teaches courses in medical entomology and animal biology. He also teaches courses on research project writing and emerging diseases. Within the biology and health laboratory, he also leads the research team called "Vector and Vector Control" at UFHB and directs the work of master’s and thesis students. He represents UFHB at the National Committee for Vector Control of the National Malaria Control Programme. He is also an associate researcher at the Pierre Richet Institute in Bouaké, Côte d'Ivoire, where he oversees the Emerging and Re-emerging Diseases unit.
