Bongumusa Prince Makhoba is a researcher, economist, lecturer and PhD candidate. He hold a Masters in Economics, and is currently enrolled in a PhD in Economics. His research interests are within the fields of Macroeconomics, Development Economics, International Economics, Public Economics and Econometrics. He has published research papers on contemporary debates in the field and has presented his research progress at major local and
international conferences. In 2019, Makhoba was awarded a scholarship to attend a PROM programme for international exchange among PhD students and academics in Poland. In 2020, he was selected by the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf), along with eight other top young scientists from
South Africa, to attend the 7th Lindau Nobel Laureates Meeting of the Sveriges Riksbank Prize on Economic Sciences in Lindau, Germany.
