Bio/Description

Cornelius Dube is an Economist with 16 years of experience in economic and social science research. He holds a Bachelors and a Master’s Degree in economics from the University of Zimbabwe (2002 and 2004 respectively). He is currently employed as a Senior Research Fellow by the Zimbabwe Economic Policy Analysis and Research Unit (ZEPARU). He has worked for the Government of Zimbabwe (2004); Competition and Tariff Commission, Zimbabwe (2004-2007); CUTS International, Jaipur, India (2007-2009), as well as ZEPARU (2010 up to present). At ZEPARU he has extensively researched various areas of economic policy in line with ZEPARU’s mandate and involving various economic sectors, including policy work for economic Ministries such as the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and Ministry of Mines and Mining Development. He has extensive experience in economic regulation, manufacturing sector, external sector, economic governance, infrastructure development and social research. He has also undergone training courses on research methods, financial programming and macroeconomic analysis, offered by the IMF and other training institutions.
