Didier Alia is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington where he is the Lead Data & Analytics at the Evans School Policy Analysis & Research Group (EPAR). Dr. Alia is an agricultural economist with a focus on technology adoption, input intensification, and rural and agricultural transformation. His research also crosses to issues related to urbanization, education, health, and trade and their implications for rural development. He received a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Kentucky in 2017. He also holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin) and a Statistician-Economist Engineer Diploma (M.S.) from the Sub-Regional Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics. (Cameroon). Dr. Alia is passionate about research and teaching and is always excited to learn from the bright people he has the chance to meet.
