Dr. Jonas Doumate is an assistant professor of mathematics at the University of Abomey-Calavi in Benin, where he teaches various courses from pure mathematics to applied mathematics and conducts research as well. He is associated with the research teams of the African School of Economics, Laboratoire de Biostatistique et d’Estimations Forestières, and Institut de Mathématiques et de Sciences Physiques.  His fields of interest are spectrum problems and shape optimization through partial differential equations applied to economics, physics, and agricultural models.
