
Marwân-al-Qays Bousmah is a postdoctoral researcher at the French Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) and CEPED (Paris, France). He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the Aix Marseille University and a Masters in development economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, France. His research interests include health economics, demography and development economics. His works are focused on universal health coverage and the influence of communicable disease morbidity and mortality on individual behaviors. He is also working with interdisciplinary teams in the fields of health policy, clinical trials and health economic evaluation. He is assistant coordinator of the Allied Health, Environment and Development Research Network (AHEAD). He has published in peer-reviewed journals such as Health Policy, the Journal of Demographic Economics, the Lancet, PharmacoEconomics, or the Review of Economics of the Household.
