Bio/Description

Mireille Abiala Ambiana comes from Cameroon. Mireille is a lecturer and holds a PhD in Economics with a major in Public Economics.

Her research interests focus on measures of poverty, including gender and child poverty. She worked on the feminization of multidimensional poverty in Cameroon and investigated how economic growth has affected the well-being of women in Cameroon.

Between 2012 and 2016, she held the position of Research Assistant at the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development.

She is currently an Assistant Coordinator in the Research Master in Mathematics and Statistics Applied to Social Sciences at the Faculty of Economics and Management - University of Yaoundé II.   Since October 2009, she has also been teaching at the Quantitative Methods Department.
