
Priviledge Cheteni received a BCom in Management and Economics, BCom Honours in Transport Economics, MA in Agricultural Economics at the University of Fort Hare, and a PhD in Economics from the North West University. He also studied at the Wageningen University in the Netherlands and has worked in various projects which include governments and world development agencies such as World Bank, United Nations on various world issues.
His stature in and beyond social policy and economics is attested by the numerous awards he has received. He has won various research fellowships and scholarships. He was a recipient of the Royal Dutch Embassy SAVUSA scholarship, Innovation Masters from the National Research Foundation, Presidential Scholarship, OPEC Scholarship to name a few. Furthermore, he was a finalist for a Commonwealth Youth Development Award for Climate Change. He has worked in various capacities as a changemaker for a number of organisations including One Young World, Kairos, and Google to name a few.
