
Roch H. Glitho (Senior Member, IEEE) received an MSc degree in business economics from the University of Grenoble in France, an MSc degree in pure mathematics, and an MSc degree in computer science from the University of Geneva in Switzerland. He also obtained his PhD (Tech. Dr.) in tele-informatics from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He is currently a full professor and a Canada Research Chair with Concordia University, Montreal, Canada and holds the Ericsson/ENCQOR-5G Senior Industrial Research in Cloud and Edge Computing for 5G and Beyond. In addition, he is an adjunct professor at the University of Western Cape, South Africa and a visiting professor at the “Institut de Mathématiques et de Sciences Physiques” (IMSP), University of Abomey Calavi (UAC), Republic of Benin. He has worked in the industry and has held several senior technical positions such as Senior Specialist, Principal Engineer, and Expert with Ericsson, Sweden, and Canada. Prior to joining Ericsson, he worked as a research and development engineer for Norsk Data, now defunct, in Oslo, Norway. He has served as an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer, the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Communications Magazine, and the Editor-In-Chief of IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials Journal.
