Dr Seth Christopher Yaw Appiah is Lecturer at the Department  of Sociology and Social Work, Kwame Nkrumah University  of Science and Technology. Dr Seth Christopher Yaw Appiah is Medical Sociologist and Infectious disease public health scientist, and an African Union Research Fellow. He holds a PhD Reproductive Health Sciences from the Pan African University Life and Earth Sciences Institute, University of Ibadan (PAULESI) and an MPhil Sociology (Health) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.  

Dr Appiah has had further training in Sexual Reproductive Right in Africa (SRRA) from the Centre for Human Right University of Pretoria and training in Gender-Based Analysis of Vector-borne Diseases and Climate Change from School of Public Health University of the Witwatersrand and International health and medical research from University of Munich (LMU)-Centre for International Health, Germany. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Sociology and Social Work and Master of Philosophy Sociology degrees from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana). 

He has published over thirty four research papers in national and international academic journals and attended and presented in more than 20 international research conferences. He is African Union Scholar and member of the Scientific Technical Research Commission (ASRIC) Communication Committee. He is a Brand Ambassador for Association of African Universities (AAU TV) and India Council for Medical Research-ICMR /AU-STRC International Fellow. His research interests are in the area of Medical Sociology, Social Epidemiology, SRH and HIV/AIDS and Human Right Law Gender and Migration.
