
Shane Hardowar is presently a senior lecturer and the head of the department of Agricultural Production and Systems at the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Mauritius, Republic of Mauritius. He has been the Node Coordinator of the Food Agriculture and Natural Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN), representing the Mauritius Node in Africa since June 2010. He was Vice President of the Africa Farm Management Association (AFMA) and President of the AFMA from 2014-2018. He has also been the Vice-President of the NGO ECO-MODE Society since August 2020. He has co-authored several papers and policy papers on sustainable entrepreneurship, climate change, climate smart agriculture, and agricultural extension. He is a National Consultant and was a National Delegate at COP 21 in Paris in 2015.
