Bio/Description

Agricultural Economist with 16 years of professional experience in agricultural research and development, Souleimane A. Adekambi combines a strong background in Agribusiness, marketing strategy and sustainable development, and impact assessment of economic policies and agricultural technologies, modelling, project evaluation, technical and economic analysis of farm production systems. 

After completing his Ph.D. in Marketing and consumer analysis in 2015 from the Wageningen University (the Netherlands), he was contracted by Wageningen University as Postdoc, Experienced Researcher in Sanitation Marketing project in Gemena, Equateur Province DR Congo, and worked at International Potato Center (CIP) Economist, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist.

Dr. Adekambi works as a collaborative researcher at the Program Analysis of Agricultural Policy (PAPA, former Laboratory of Economy and Rural Sociology) of the National Institute of Agricultural Research in Benin (INRAB).

 At present Souleimane A. Adekambi is a lecturer and Associate Director of the University Institute of Technology at University of Parakou, Benin Republic. 

His research activities focus on issues concerning the integration of bottom-of-the-pyramid producers with (high-income) markets and the role of strategic marketing in that integration, consumer behavior and preferences of agricultural products, adoption and impact assessment of economic policies and agricultural technologies.
