Bio/Description

Terngu S. Nomishan earned his Bachelor and Master Degrees in Archaeology from Ahmadu
Bello University Zaria. Presently, he is preparing to start his PhD in Heritage and
Museum Studies. He has over 8 years of quality training and experience in the field of
archaeology and heritage studies.


Mr. Nomishan has participated in many archaeological research projects; including participation in
two weeks of annual archaeological field research, organized for teaching students by the Department
of Archaeology, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. These sessions took place in the following locations:
a. Kwatarkwashi, Zamfara State , Nigeria in 2012
b. Mahuta, Katsina State , Nigeria in 2013
c. Turunku, Kaduna State, Nigeria in 2014, and
d. Gozaki, Katsina State, Nigeria in 2018.


Presently, Mr. Nomishan is a lecturer in the Department of Archaeology and Museum Studies,
Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State, Nigeria. His research areas include Ethnoarchaeology,
Heritage and Museum Studies, Cultural Resource Management CRM, Cultural Tourism, African
Indigenous Knowledge and Environmental Impact Assessment. Nomishan has published quality
articles in both local and international renowned journals. He currently reviews manuscripts for the Journal of Humanities and Applied Social Sciences, published by Emerald Insight on behalf of Cairo University.
