Bio/Description

Théodette Boyayo was born in Burundi. She earned a degree in law from Université Lumière de Bujumbura and continued her graduate studies at Université de Nantes, France, from which she obtained a Master II degree in European International Law of Basic Rights. She thereafter pursued her doctoral research at the University of Burundi, on the topic « ESPACE TVA UNIQUE AU SEIN DE LA COMMUNAUTÉ DES PAYS DE L’AFRIQUE DE L’EST : Quelle leçon peut-on tirer de l’expérience de l’Union européenne ? ».

She is a multilingual and professional attorney with more than twelve years of legal experience. She is highly proficient in international law, fiscal law and the jurisdictional system of the East African communities. She has a background in the Burundian judiciary, business development, human capital development and fiscal matters.
